Tebow's looking good

no, no I'm not talking about the player. I am talking about my article on Tim Tebow. I finished the second draft on both the introductory and Part I which dealt with Tebow's shortcomings on the field: His long delivery, his risk of injury, and people's overreaction to what they feel is leadership because he is such an emotional player.

Tomorrow will be a test. The second part of this article is the media's fascination with him. I'm at nearly 5000 words already and this section seems to be the longest of the three.

I have to say I'm proud of what I'm accomplishing with this. The Introduction, for the lack of a better word, was a bitch. Some of it was due to hadn't written any original prose in years. Secondly, it was more of novel and short story type of prose that takes me sometime to get going. These articles are more factually based. The sentences are more direct. They are less complicated. I had an easier time with that 4000 word Part I than I did the 1000 word Introduction.

Anyway, even after editing this thing it will easily fall into the second largest piece of writing I've ever produced. My first draft of my novel Where are the children? clocked in at well over 140000 words. The only thing that comes anywhere near this is a novella I did once called Don't Cry for me.  It was a novella on the genocide in Rwanda that I wrote about 10 years ago. I don't have a copy of it anymore. I don't know if I can revisit the horror of the real life Rwanda or what I put the lead character through in that ever again. But I guess until they throw the dirt on you, you'll never know.

Confidence repost

Like I said I struggle with confidence whenever I start writing prose. Anyway tebows article I got 2 a real sloooooow start

Anyway I finished the first part and I thought it read real well. I didn't want to stop but I promised the boy id run him to skate park.

Would love to start and fin entire 2nd section but that may be askn too much of myself.

Anyway more later...

Is this thing workn

Don't know if my phone or app itself is acting up

Outlines

Okay, so u didn't ask but lemme explain when I say I've completed 20 outlines in a hour or two. These outlines are more in the lines of a template. Yea, there's that word again: Template. It means everything to me while I'm writing.

Templates give me a consistent place to go next when I'm doing fiction or non fiction. For fiction its just a matter of getting my characters and motivations down, while in non fiction I can concentrate on word usage and sentence structure.

Anyway, I finished 20 more tonight. Wasn't planning to but circumstances have me up late. I really want to get 2 bed so I can start on that second draft on Tebow but I know I'm going to be pushing it mentally and physically if I don't get some rest.

Boy, am I jumping around

Back to August stuff:

Tebow's article will either be called  The Gospel According to John or Saviour- with the subtitle being how Elway saved us from Tim Tebow. I'm probably going to use a generic cover for this one. Tebow is so popular I don't want to risk using an image that someone, somewhere has used before.

The NCAA one is set in stone: Fumblerooski: How the NCAA dropped the ball on the upcoming football playoffs. I really like the cover for this one as well. PowerPoint really takes the work out of this process.

Note: To correct something I posted a few days ago: The Fumblerooski wasn't a play in the FSU-Clemson game but Miami-Nebraska a few years earlier. My bad. I speak specifically to this event at the onset of this article.
